Verlyn was born in a small fishing village on the coast of the island of Newfoundland. Having never ventured into the world of acting while growing up on the east coast, it wasn’t until he moved to Toronto that he took a chance at auditioning for a student film. After that first foray, Verlyn caught the “bug” for acting which would be long-lasting and of course, incurable. Verlyn eventually settled in North Bay where he vigorously pursued his craft with the Gateway Theatre Guild in many productions and other local performing groups over the last 40 years. He has worked extensively in the past with this group of very fine actors and artisans of The Proscenium Club. Verlyn first played the character of Treville 13 years ago when Joshua’s group first staged The 3 Musketeers and was overjoyed to be asked back to reprise his role. He feels that a great story is what it’s all about in theatre and if it’s great, it bears repeating. He wishes to thank everyone for their continued support of local home-grown theatre. As another long-time icon of adventure stories has said many times in the past: EXCELSIOR!

Stefan is a writer and filmmaker best known for his films The Pasta Killer! and Ghost Beaver Kick, and the satirical news website “The North Bay Bay”. He only acts when summoned, and the price is dear. It’s cookies. The price is cookies. He loves long walks on the beach, swallowing shadflies, and requiring immediate medical attention.

After many years estranged from the stage, Denis has joyfully resurfaced. He has past played roles such as Fagan in Oliver Twist (SJSH), Gaston in Beauty and the Beast (T.O.R.O.S), and as Dr. Umlaut in the provincially showcased S.E.A.R.S. production of Dr Umlaut's Earthly Kingdom. Playing Bicarat and his involvement in the Proscenium Club has sparked new life into a once dormant love for the performing arts, and Denis eagerly looks on to what is next in his quest in this privilege of acting. This experience has been for him soul affirming and Denis appreciates the true gift to be part of this beautiful journey.

Zavier Dubien, is an actor/songwriter here in North bay, Ontario. His love for acting started when he was very young. His brother would use him as an actor for short films they used to make in their home. When he was fifteen years old he decided he wanted to get more serious with acting, so started doing musicals with TOROS (Theatre Out Reach On Stage). From there his love for the arts grew stronger. Zavier acted in a few shows written by local artists for the theatre festival On The Edge Fringe, performing in To Torture a Prince, A Strange Bird and a show he wrote with six other students, I Am Ursus.
Zavier is currently working on his music, experimenting with different techniques and ways to create music and write songs.
