Fright Week

The Proscenium Club continues it’s community engagement projects with FRIGHT WEEK

Co-produced by the Proscenium Club and Capitol Centre, this three-night theatre experience brings folklore, psychological terror, and macabre to North Bay this Halloween. Three iconic horror characters have been thrillingly reimagined by writer/director Joshua Bainbridge and brought to life on stage by the Proscenium Club. Each night presents a stand-alone story; come to see your favorite or take in all three live stage-plays and spend the Halloween season in a state of fright!

OCTOBER 29th – FRANKENSTEIN | OCTOBER 30th – THE WOLF MAN | OCTOBER 31st – DRACULA

FRANKENSTEIN: A young, ambitious scientist obsessed with finding the secret of eternal life creates a sapient creature after stitching together a body using parts harvested from the dead. Fear of what he has unwittingly brought to life causes the scientist to reject his creation. This sets the abandoned creature on a path of discovery, revenge and pain – one which will only be complete when it has destroyed everything in its path.

The WOLF MAN: Learning of a string of deaths and disappearances of old friends and family, a struggling couple return to their ancestral village after many years away. Soon a large wolf attacks them, leaving the husband wounded and hospitalized. Here he is plagued by violent nightmares of his mutilated community, who warn the man that he is becoming a werewolf.

DRACULA: A young English solicitor travels to Transylvania to finalize a real estate transaction for a mysterious nobleman, Count Dracula. What begins as a routine business trip turns sinister as it becomes obvious the host is no ordinary man. Leaving the young solicitor behind, the Count travels to England – an ancient, malevolent force invading the rational world in a violent battle of good and evil.
